The journey

So, about the journey...

Taipei - awesomely geeky in its own right!

The remnants of a 4 bedroom house.
We started out innocuously enough by heading from Colorado Springs to Denver. When we first arrived at the airport, we were greeted with smiles by a kindly old gentleman with a luggage cart. From there, we were escorted to the Frontier counter, where we were greeted with a familiar look.

I should backtrack. There's a look that people give you when you tell them you're up and moving to Cambodia. It's a cross between 'you just dropped your bowling ball on my foot' and 'I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you because all three of your heads were speaking at once'.

This is the look we received from the front desk. I imagine it had to do with the 13 or so massive duffel bags we were checking in (all at 50 lbs or less, really!). We were then promptly told that their baggage policy had changed, and we would have to hoof said bags through the L.A. airport (LAX for those travel-savvy individuals). We protested, but were given a different look... something akin to pity mixed with stubbornness. *Sigh* Well, I'm glad I work out and have tons of muscles!

Wait, no I don't... well, this should make things interesting in LAX, at least!
